Five Points: Laurel Springs School

So I have decided to create short videos to help promote the online schools on my websites. I’m good at some things, but not great at others. This is probably one of those that I could do better. That being said, here it is.

Virtual Schools News up and running

While there is still some minor work being done, for the most part, Virtual School News is up and running again. It will be offering significantly more news about online schools and related subjects. I hope you will take a look at VSN 2.0.

Is it my site?

I do get that if you look for online high schools on the Internet that it is entirely possible that you will eventually work yourself to me. I do have that online high schools site that so many seem to come to as well as other sites.

That being said, this site even took me aback. It is a site with an article I wrote for EzineArticles.com as a way to market my websites and such. The person who developed this site is certainly within their rights to use the article. They included my bio statement as well as a link back to EzineArticles. Those seem to be the primary rules.

That being said, it sure looks like it is my site. If you click across the top, the same article pops up again and again with the same bio statement.  Actually, not one of my better ones, but not awful. Not the one I would have chosen for that site. Also, really, the same article on every page? Really?

No idea who is behind the site. Probably, like many of these sites, just another faceless entity.

State Online High School Sites

You may recall that I mentioned a large website project currently underway. While there is still some branding to be done, the websites are all in place and you can see them below. There is still much work to be done, but, as you can see, there are fifty brand-new websites specifically tied to the individual states. Given my work on the Best Online High Schools site and elsewhere, these are not sites that will be updated on a daily basis. I would like to be able to add something on a weekly basis, though.

I mentioned branding. Currently under development is a WordPress theme that is similar to the parent website. When that is done, then that will get uploaded to each of those sites. If you have worked with WordPress, you know that is actually a relatively simple task.

The URLs all look like <statename>onlinehighschools.com. Also, there are a few more coming, but they will have to wait.

The thinking behind this effort is to create a larger footprint in this niche of online high schools, but to also give folks a place to have information about their schools and the programs they have created. I will put up news and videos and such.

So, without further ado, here are the websites:

Alabama  Alaska  Arizona  Arkansas  California  Colorado Connecticut Delaware  Florida  Georgia  Hawaii  Idaho  Illinois  Indiana  Iowa  Kansas  Kentucky  Louisiana  Maine  Maryland  Massachusetts  Michigan  Minnesota  Mississippi  Missouri  Montana  Nebraska  Nevada  New Hampshire  New Jersey  New Mexico  New York  North Carolina  North Dakota  Ohio  Oklahoma  Oregon  Pennsylvania  Rhode Island  South Carolina  South Dakota  Tennessee  Texas  Utah  Vermont  Virginia  Washington  West Virginia  Wisconsin  Wyoming
